Summer Was...Camping

summer was...camping

Just one short overnight trip this summer. It looks like we packed for several weeks though.

George fished.

This one got away. The next two weren't quite as lucky.

I think George is right. Kids were made to camp.

Looks like the previous campers didn't finish their mac and cheese. Do you see it there in the water?

I set my knitting down briefly to take a picture of this beauty.

I think we'll squeeze one more overnighter in before it gets too cold in the mountains. I can hardly wait.

  1. love it. summer is definitely camping. and our tent broke and this summer was busy and we haven't gone. not once. and my daughter's starting to freak out about that.

me, too, kinda. maybe we can get an overnighter in.

  2. Oh it looks like a delicious time!

Our summers are too hot for camping, so we save that for the fall. We're all getting itchy to get out there. It's almost time, but not quite :-)

    Happy new week to you!

  4. Looks like a fabulous summer! Can you fill me in a bit more on how the 'Summer Was' series will work? Do I have to put my post up on a specific day or just anyday this week? Thanks!

  7. Oh Molly, your camping trip looks so wonderful, crisp, clean and peaceful, not buggy and smokey and dirty like my memories of camping as a child. I hesitate to try it now with my own little ones, but if it could be as great as you make it look, I would try it tomorrow!!

  10. we're going camping this weekend! Fall camping. And I'm excited. Summer definitely does scream camping, but I'm looking forward to potentially not being hot and swarmed by mosquitoes this time. Should be a slightly different experience.
