Rather than keeping our hands to ourselves, we touched everything, including our new dream table.
Speaking of touching, have you ever seen a germ colony? It looks like a topographical map, but it made me want to wash my hands. Many times.
I realized that maybe my ponytail isn't so bad after all.
I'm not sure if this is a commentary about the cleanliness of drinking fountains or a statement about irresponsible use of potable water. Needless to say I was glad we brought our own water bottles.
Our day in the city was stimulating and exciting; definitely a departure from our recent hohumdom. I will not forget the look of amazement and discovery on my children's faces as they flitted from one experiment to the next, or the look on my husband's face when I told him I forgot to turn the headlights off on the car and that the battery was dead. What is it with me and batteries?
There's finally a chance of rain this weekend, and I'm looking forward to lots of snuggle time in front of the fireplace. I hope you have a warm and cozy weekend too, and don't forget to turn off your headlights and charge your batteries.
Looks like a truly fantastic day. That's first on our list for our next trip to SF.
ReplyDeleteOh, that car battery thing. They're not our friends either. Enough said.
Ack! Oh those batteries! So sorry you had to have that bit of ick in your day.
ReplyDeleteBut oh what a day it was! Looks like a fabulous and inspiring time!
Fun!! I sometimes feel the need to get out and do something different in order to come home and be content to snuggle and hang out. I'm ready for some rain, too :)
ReplyDeleteWe loved the Exploritorium when my kids were younger - fond memories. It's also fun to visit the Japanes Tea Gardens across the park!
ReplyDeleteMy joints hurt, so does Mary's my massage therapist. Therfore we can enjoy some snuggle time in front of the fire too....I hope.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your ho hum weekend.
Love
Dad
