Alphabet Glue Giveaway!
There are few things I love more than scenes like this - children getting completely lost in a good book. I especially love it when scenes and characters from the books they love appear in their conversations, in their stories, in their artwork, in their dreams.
That's why I'm so excited about Annie of Bird and Little Bird's new e-magazine for families - Alphabet Glue.
Annie - mother, crafter, and literacy teacher extraordinaire - has compiled a fantastic quarterly magazine filled with activities, printables, projects, and reading recommendations for families who love books.
The wildflower seed pod project, corresponding to the book, Miss Rumphius, is on my immediate to-do list (just as soon as I finish this post and the sewing project Avery and I are working on - dinner might be late tonight).
The library catalog cards take me back to my childhood, to the garage in my family's old house, where I set up a library for the neighborhood kids. I never got my sign language book back from that boy down the street.
The mix and match story cards are a great starting point for family storytelling - the kids love me to tell them stories, but truth be told, I'm sometimes at a loss for ideas. Annie has come to my rescue with Alphabet Glue!
You can purchase and download a copy of Alphabet Glue here for $4. Or if you're feeling lucky, leave a comment - Annie has offered three complimentary issues of Alphabet Glue to my readers! I will announce the winners on Monday, March 28.
Happy reading, and thanks for visiting!
