Life's Little Luxuries

in the marshes

In no particular order,

Waking up early in the morning, pulling up the covers and falling back to sleep.

Making a second pot of coffee.

Knitting with my daughter.

Knitting for myself.

Playing catch with my son.

Reading Stuart Little aloud, again.

Reading a book that's been patiently waiting on my bookshelf for years.

Telling your family you're going grocery shopping and making a detour to the book store.

Perusing the craft section of the book store for over an hour.

Taking a three mile hike in the canyon, by myself.

Listening to podcasts.

Eating out.

Baking just because.

I enjoyed all these luxuries and more while taking a break from this space, but there were a few luxuries I missed. Writing and friends who read what I write. Thank you for coming back.

  8. I like the little tufts of raindeer moss in the last picture. My luxuries: cooking every part of a meal, not relying on any pre-processed/packaged foods for anything, and having ingredients right from your own backyard. Time to read and craft. Heaven.

  11. You forgot to add the luxury of tinkering around with the look of your blog! Or maybe that isn't a luxury for you, but I love to do it.

And I love your new look! Your gorgeous photos get more space to display themselves in all their glory.

    Welcome back! I've missed you.
