An abundance of good food to prepare, eat and clean up after.
An abundance of books to be read, out loud to my children and quietly to myself.
An abundance of dates filling up the calendar.
An abundance of clothes to wash, dry and put away.
An abundance of yarn to knit and fabric to sew.
An abundance of seeds yearning for soil.
An abundance of friends to call, write and see.
An abundance of thoughts and ideas swirling around in my head.
What I seem to lack, however, is an abundance of time to fully enjoy my abundance.
now - the funny thing is that I was making scrambled eggs and cleaning strawberries when I read this. If you had a cup of tea in the picture then I would swear we were caught in a parallel universe - that and green and brown paint on your fingers.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about it all - even down to the seeds part. I was just wondering if I could still get carrots and other veggies in this late? September came and went with my sniffles and the seeds are just sitting there. Do you plant this late?
I've never planted in the fall before so I really have no idea.
Amen! I know exactly how you feel.
ReplyDeleteoh my, Molly, do I know how you feel !!! Never ever ever enough time to make everything ... but still ... what if tomorrow was the last day of our lives ? We always need to make priorities for the very most important things in our lives.
ReplyDeletexoxox love you, take care
no worries, there is always tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteahh, but there is no tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteYou're living a beautiful life...keep on livin!

ReplyDeleteone step at a time, mama, and a whole lot of enjoyment along the way.
ReplyDeleteword! to that!
ReplyDeleteI hear it too - especially the dishes and the laundry.
ReplyDeleteBoy.. you can say that again! Beautiful berries!
ReplyDeleteThese are all wonderful things, I think. Especially the abundance of yarn!
ReplyDeleteack! there's the rub.
ReplyDeletebut don't you think that the lack of time is part and parcel of an abundant life? let's just be sure we're filling our time well. you certainly are filling your life with good things.
Yup - you're speaking my language!
ReplyDeleteThis is the season for celebrating the fullness of the harvest and you're right, calendars and schedules are filling up!
ReplyDeleteYour reflection and gratitude for all you have is lovely.
This speaks to me so clearly at the moment but I always try and remind myself how much more wonderful it is to have things this way than if you had an abundance of time and nothing to fill it with - how awful would that be?!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your lovely thoughts and photos - have a good weekend:)
Yes, time.....there's got to be more of it somewhere! Those strawberries look divine...have a wonderful weekend~
ReplyDeleteWell said! I often feel that way myself. I think it is all the same though, if that makes any sense-- the goodness and the overwhelmingness of "too much" all together. :)
ReplyDeleteI keep telling myself.. oh I will do that when the kids go to bed.. until I realize that my list of things to do while they sleep is more than I could achieve if I worked until they woke...
ReplyDeleteThank you for the reminder to be thankful for the abundance I do have, even if I can't fully follow through with everything!
Hope you find some time to fully enjoy a few of those precious things this weekend...
I know how you feel! I wish I could clone myself s I could get all my work done and still have some time to spend outside, play with yarn, and see friends.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that post! Abundance: affluence, ampleness, bounty, fortune, myriad, plenitude, plenty, profusion, prosperity, prosperousness, riches, thriving, wealth... That's a pretty cool word, Molly!
ReplyDeleteword, Molly.
ReplyDeleteexactly!
Isn't that the way the cookies crumble? Abundance and busy-ness all in the came time. What a wonderful time it is, though!
ReplyDeletethings rings so true! enjoy the abundance that is yours!
ReplyDeletetime. never abundant.
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely reflection though :-)

ReplyDeletewhat a lovely reflection though :-)
As I was reading the list, I was wondering about the time to accomplish all those things...wish I had more hours in my day, especially on weekends. Love the list btw.
ReplyDeleteha! Ain't that the truth....abundance of clothes to be washed...feels like an eternity of abundance some times! :)
ReplyDeleteoh yes how true, how true, such is life.
ReplyDeleteTHIS is so simple yet SO perfect IT demonstrates abundance. thank you! for this. lovely.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your blog...I can so relate to your last thought on abundance!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
