Six is big.
Six is reading, writing, and riding a skateboard.
Old skateboard + new grip tape + a coat of chalkboard paint = a happy boy
Six is not too big to be held by mama,
even if his feet go past my knees when I carry him.
And six is definitely not too big to ask for a pom pom.
I'm oh so grateful that he wanted a pom pom.
Happy birthday baby boy!
I hope your son has a wonderful birthday. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, happy 6th birthday!! You're right Molly - 6 is both big and little at the same time. So bittersweet.
ReplyDeleteAnd happy day to you too. You should be very proud of your sweet boy.
what a doll. Can I still say that at 6?
ReplyDeleteThat pom pom rocks, and the skateboard is divine. Ours is hiding under our bed until, um, 6.
Best wishes to the man! And to you, mama - six years of raising a boy. Oh goodness!
When I was One,
ReplyDeleteI had just begun.
When I was Two,
I was nearly new.
When I was Three,
I was hardly me.
When I was Four,
I was not much more.
When I was Five,
I was just alive.
But now I am Six, I'm as clever as clever.
So I think I'll be six now for ever and ever.

ReplyDeleteHappy 6th! what a sweet post!! have a great day! and have fun looking at the past 6 years!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, how cute.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday little guy!
Wow, amazing how time flies! It's also been 6 years that Chelsea and Alex have been married! He is such a super neat grandson. Just watch the skateboard being left behind cars, Robert's got run over by the neighbor's car at about that age.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Aidan! Six is so great - enjoy it all.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Six is so big, but yes... he's still your little boy. Hope you all have a lovely celebration!
ReplyDeleteHappy B day Aidan! 6 is an exciting age . . . it's like a spring board into the big boy years . And then it all happens so fast . . . enjoy six.
ReplyDeleteCuteness. Fortunately, seven isn't all that much different! It's eight that I'm beginning to get worried about.
ReplyDeletewell allison, i can tell you girl eight is something else. getting so old, maturing at an alarming rate, but oh so enjoyable. i'm glad i have a few years before crossing the boy eight bridge.
ReplyDeleteA Happy, Happy 6 to Aidan and his wonderful mama!!
ReplyDeleteI think 6 sounds so filled with promise, yet it seems bittersweet as 6 is definitely a "kid" age.
By the way, that's a pretty sweet board- you rock Molly!
