I love this tee pee. My aunt made it for her kids over thirty years ago, and I have played in it for over twenty years now. Yes, I still play in it sometimes.
When I was a kid, my mom would set it up in the courtyard, I would fill it with blankets and pillows, and listen to the radio. I probably listened to Wham, Bananarama and the Bangles. Looking at the tee pee now, I think of a different song. A song from the era this tee pee came from. A song I love.
Slow down, you move too fast,
you've got to make the morning last
Just kickin' down the cobble-stones,
lookin' for fun and feelin' groovy
Feeling groovy
Hello lamp-post, what's cha knowing,
I've come to watch your flowers growin'
Ain't cha got no rhymes for me,
do-it-do-do, feelin' groovy
Feeling groovy
I've got no deeds to do,
no promises to keep
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep
Let the morning time drop all its petals on me
Life I love you, all is groovy
you've got to make the morning last
Just kickin' down the cobble-stones,
lookin' for fun and feelin' groovy
Feeling groovy

Art and Paul knew a thing or two, didn't they? I'm sure they would agree, this tee pee is groovy.
